AGRICULTURAL BEEKEEPING COOPERATIVE OF NIKITI

Behind the honey of Sithon lies the hard work and love of the team at the Agricultural Beekeeping Cooperative of Nikiti, Halkidiki. The Cooperative, one of the largest in Europe, was founded in 1952. The rare bee flora combined with the suitable climate is one of the main reasons why Sithon honey is among the best honey in Greece and Europe. The other reason is the state-of-the-art infrastructure, the in-depth know-how, the great love and tradition in honey. In the mid-1980s, the Cooperative took a step forward by building its own honey packaging plant. In 1987, Sithon honey starts being standardized, ushering in a new era!

The honey is tested for its quality by the quality control laboratory, in cooperation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Institute of Beekeeping, and the two leading European honey testing laboratories, APPLICA and QSI

The products of the historical and most up-to-date beekeeping cooperative in Europe, originating from Nikiti, contain in their jars all the aromas and flavors that make us love Halkidiki. Its unique landscape, the scent of pine that wafts into the car while on one’s way to the beach for the first time this year, the flowers of May Day, coupled with the sea breeze.
